Regular Trimming

Annual or twice-yearly trimming keeps hedges in good shape, maintains their density and prevents them from spreading into neighbouring properties or blocking light.

Hedge Reduction

Overgrown hedges can be reduced in height and width. We assess the species and condition before recommending the safest level of reduction to achieve a good result.

Renovation & Shrub Pruning

Neglected hedges and overgrown shrubs can often be brought back to life with hard renovation pruning. We also undertake general shrub pruning, shaping and deadheading.

Hedge Types We Work With

We work with all common hedge species including privet, beech, hornbeam, yew, box, hawthorn, laurel, holly, leylandii and mixed native hedgerows. Each species responds differently to cutting — timing and technique vary accordingly. We are fully aware of nesting season obligations and will not carry out cutting during the main bird nesting season (March to August) unless we have assessed that no active nests are present.

Waste Removed, Site Left Tidy

All cuttings are cleared from the site — we chip or remove the arisings so you are not left with a pile of material to dispose of. We cover Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon, Wetherby, Boroughbridge and the surrounding area. For regular maintenance customers we are happy to discuss scheduling visits at a time that suits you.
